Coalition for Independent Contractor Freedom (CFICF) is a voice for independent contractors who want to stay that way. The independent contractor’s way of doing business is under attack from a variety of sources. If you are one of the millions of Americans who enjoy being an independent contractor, it’s time to speak up. We like our freedom, like owning our businesses, like being responsible citizens making our own decisions.
And we would very much like for others to stop trying to mess with that.
As Independent Contractors we own our businesses – the kinds of small businesses that fuel the American economy and provide the real job growth in America. It’s time to tell our stories and to share with each other news we can use to protect our businesses and our way of life.
Where are the threats coming from? From government agencies, from unions, from certain types of attorneys. If these forces succeed in making us give up our business ownership and become somebody’s employees, the results would destroy our independent way of life and rob us of the way we’ve chosen to earn a living.
In this Land of the Free, if someone wants to work as an employee, they’re free to choose that and find someone to hire them. At the same time, we must keep the same freedom to make a different choice: to own our own businesses and contract out our services.
